ARTIST: Yoskay Yamamoto
BRAND: Munky King
MATERIAL: Vinyl
HEIGHT: 6 inches
EDITION NUMBER: 200
Based on the original painting, "Screaming for the Sunrise," by Yoskay Yamamoto. This gorgeous piece came with a removable fabric ribbon and was packaged in a gold foil box.
The black and silver color way was a San Diego Comicon 2011 exclusive.
Picked this up because I loved the original painting, and the vinyl cast actually holds the brushstroke texture better than I expected for 6 inches. Number 200 of 200 too, so it feels like a nice little score.
The little guy's expression totally captures that original painting, and the matte finish on the black vinyl makes the colors pop way more than I expected. Number 47 of 200, so I'm glad I grabbed one before they disappeared.
The paint job on this 6-inch vinyl is incredibly clean, and the sunrise detail on his chest glows nicely under my desk lamp. It’s a solid piece for the price, and I’m glad I snagged one of the 200 before they sold out.
