Amanda Visellの「ピンク・エレファント」シリーズの各カラーウェイは、まったく新しいペイントデコとテーマを特徴としています。この不気味な第3弾では、血を吸うDrunky McSkunkyが吸血鬼の象の上に止まり、その犠牲者は胃の中に隠されています。ひえー！磁石のお尻がカウント・ドランキーを所定の位置に保ち、象はアマンダの作品によく見られる木彫りへのオマージュとして、木のような質感を特徴としています。
The vampire elephant has this glossy finish on the little fangs that catches light nicely on my shelf. Six inches is bigger than I pictured for a vinyl figure, and the paint lines around the pink ears are surprisingly clean. Edition of 400 makes me glad I finally grabbed one.
Didn't expect the vinyl to have this much heft for something only 6 inches tall. The paint work on the trunk and ears is cleaner than most designer toys I've picked up, and the little vampire fangs are a fun touch. Mine's number 112 of 400, which makes it feel a bit special.
The sculpt on this 6-inch piece is what sold me — Visell's take on the elephant feels both playful and slightly unsettling, and the vampire details are subtle enough to appreciate up close. Happy I grabbed one from the 400-piece run while it was still around.
