Nathan JureviciusがMTVアジアのアニメーションプロジェクトのために制作したこの『モンキー・キング』。ネイサンとともに、デイブ・プレスラーの巧みな彫刻により、私たちの名前の由来となったキャラクターを玩具にできることは、まさに猿の王様からの祝福でした。
モンキー・キングは、取り外し可能な雲の上に立つ高さ8インチのフィギュアです。曲がる腕と尻尾で杖を手に、天界に殴り込みをかける準備は万端です。
Eight inches of vinyl and it still feels hefty in the hand, way more solid than I expected for the size. The sculpt has that weird little grin that shows up in all his art, and it reads perfectly on a shelf next to my other pieces. Glad I grabbed one before these got impossible to find.
The paintwork on this one is way more detailed than I expected for vinyl — all the little armor plates and the staff are crisp. Edition of 150 means I actually had to hunt for it, which made finally getting one feel like a win. Been on my shelf next to the other 8-inch figures and it holds its own e
Didn't expect an 8-inch vinyl to feel this solid in hand, but the weight is perfect for the shelf. The face sculpt has this mischievous grin that photos don't quite capture. Number 88 of 150, glad I grabbed one before they vanished.
