當一位藝術家離世，他們的精神將永續流傳。今年，我參加了Abigail Gumbiner的追思會，她是一位才華洋溢且多產的藝術家，也是我摯友Tamar Halpern的母親。我遇見了她的遺孀，版畫大師兼畫家Peter Holmes。Peter帶我參觀了他的工作室，我的目光立刻被角落裡一系列畫作吸引——那些對抗體制的人們、武術家、美洲原住民戰士和勇猛的武士，皆以羅夏克風格呈現，栩栩如生。於是，「戰士系列」誕生了，這是MK與Peter Holmes的合作成果。Abigail將畫筆交到Peter手中，我不禁認為是她讓我們相聚，將這些成果分享給世界。
The cotton is heavier than I expected, which is perfect for layering under a jacket. The silkscreen print has held up through three washes so far with no cracking.
I wore this to my friend's art show and got three compliments before I even sat down. The silkscreen print is crisp, not that plastic-y feel some crewnecks have, and the cotton is heavy enough to actually keep me warm. Wearing it feels like carrying her legacy around with me.
The cotton is heavyweight without feeling stiff, and the white base makes the print really pop. Wore it to a friend's art memorial last weekend and got three compliments on the design alone.
