När en konstnär dör lever deras arv vidare. I år gick jag på minnesceremonin för Abigail Gumbiner, en begåvad och produktiv konstnär och mor till min kära vän Tamar Halpern. Jag träffade hennes änka, mästerlitografen och målaren Peter Holmes. Peter gav mig en rundtur i sin studio och direkt drogs mina ögon till en serie målningar undanstoppade i ett hörn – människor som rasar mot maskinen, kampsportare, indiankrigare och vilda samurajer, alla i en Rorschach-stil som fick dem att leva upp. Så föddes Warrior Series, ett samarbete mellan MK och Peter Holmes. Abigail satte en pensel i Peters hand och jag kan inte låta bli att tro att hon förde oss samman för att dela resultaten med världen.
