Quando um artista morre, o seu legado vive. Este ano fui ao memorial de Abigail Gumbiner, uma artista talentosa e prolífica e mãe da minha querida amiga Tamar Halpern. Conheci o seu viúvo, o Mestre Litógrafo e pintor Peter Holmes. Peter deu-me uma visita guiada ao seu estúdio e imediatamente os meus olhos foram atraídos para uma série de pinturas guardadas num canto - pessoas a lutar contra a máquina, artistas marciais, guerreiros nativos americanos e samurais ferozes, todos feitos num estilo Rorschach que os fazia ganhar vida. Assim nasceu a Série Guerreiro, uma colaboração entre a MK e Peter Holmes. Abigail colocou um pincel na mão de Peter e não posso deixar de pensar que ela nos uniu para partilhar os resultados com o mundo.
