Resist - Black MunkyKing Edition

Resist is the second figure in Luke Chueh's new series of hand cast and painted 3.75" scale carded resin figures that explore what it’s like to be imprisoned-say in a plastic toy blister. Luke’s  bear gets forceful in an attempted blister break. Alas as seen in the preview for the upcoming Resign, his arms and feet aren’t quite up to the task.

Originally Released as part of DKE Toys’ DesignerCon 2021 lineup first online on Friday, November 5th 2021 from DKE Toys’ online store and then at their DCon Booth, MunkyKing is proud to present our signature black version. An edition of 50, the MunkyKing Black edition of Resist will be available for $125. 

This product is released in the traditional card + blister ‘action figure’ packaging with the card back perhaps offering a preview of the third figure --  Resign, the bear’s final stage of psychological reactions to its unfortunate new reality.

The hand-painted details on this little guy are sharper than I expected for something this small. Luke Chueh's gloomy bear staring back at me from my shelf is exactly the vibe I wanted. Resin feels solid, not cheap plastic.

This little guy’s paint job is so clean and the black finish really pops against the hand-cast resin texture. At 3.75 inches he’s the perfect desk companion, and the pose has way more character up close than the photos suggest.
