Lil' Mort is the first vinyl figure by the renown lowbrow artist, COOP. Based on the original painting shown one of his solo shows at the Corey Helford Gallery, Lil' Mort comes with a removable scythe and plenty of lowbrow attitude. The piece takes its name from the French phrase, “Le Petit Mort”, a metaphor for the spiritual release one experiences from orgasm.  COOP is considered one of the pioneers of the Pop Surrealist movement, and now his vision is available as a limited edition vinyl.

Henry S. ★★★★★

Didn't expect a 7-inch vinyl to have this much presence on a shelf, but the sculpt on this one really holds its own next to bigger pieces. The paint work on that little guy is cleaner than I figured for an edition of 400, and it landed in perfect shape.

David J. ★★★★★

The paint job on this little guy is incredibly clean for a vinyl from 2009, and the black colorway makes all the sculpted details pop. Numbered 400 was a nice touch, and he sits perfectly on my shelf next to the rest of the collection without taking up too much room.

Elizabeth O. ★★★★★

He’s only 7 inches tall but has way more presence than most of my bigger pieces, and the vinyl feels solid in hand. Coop’s style translates perfectly to this figure—the creepy charm is exactly what I hoped for. Glad I grabbed one from the edition of 400 while it was still reasonable.
