Cuando un artista muere, su legado perdura. Este año fui al memorial de Abigail Gumbiner, una talentosa y prolífica artista y madre de mi querida amiga Tamar Halpern. Conocí a su viudo, el maestro litógrafo y pintor Peter Holmes. Peter me dio un tour por su estudio y de inmediato mis ojos se sintieron atraídos por una serie de pinturas guardadas en un rincón: personas luchando contra la máquina, artistas marciales, guerreros nativos americanos y feroces samuráis, todos realizados en un estilo Rorschach que los hacía cobrar vida. Así nació la Serie Guerrero, una colaboración entre MK y Peter Holmes. Abigail puso un pincel en la mano de Peter y no puedo evitar pensar que ella nos unió para compartir los resultados con el mundo.
