"Uprisings" od Kozyndana vzniklo jako ilustrace inspirovaná klasickým dřevořezem Hokusaie „Velká vlna u Kanagawy“. Munky King přetvořil toto dílo do jedinečné vinylové sochy, která hravě mísí klasické japonské umění s rozmarností popového surrealismu.

Stands almost 10 inches tall on my shelf and the Hokusai-inspired wave detail is way more intricate in person than the listing photos showed. The paint job on the foam coming off the wave is sharp, no sloppy edges anywhere. Only 50 made, so I'm glad I grabbed one.
The roto-cast vinyl feels solid and weighty in hand, not cheap at all, and the way the wave crests curve gives it real motion from every angle. I was a little worried about the limited run of 50 selling out before payoff, but the unboxing was worth the wait.
The wave detail on this 9.5-inch piece is stunning in person—Kozyndan’s take on Hokusai feels both faithful and surreal. Since it’s an edition of 50, I love that mine came with the artist’s signature on the box. It’s a real centerpiece for my shelf.
